Andy Dengate’s take on Gameweek 16

December 6, 2012 9:04 am

Hello from a personal view my gameweek started terribly, nothing to do with having Ivanovic but the fact that I planned to go round my mates to watch The Hammers stuff Chelsea till my misses sprung on me that we was going to Tesco’s, missed probably the best 45 minutes of football I’ll see this season!

I wouldn’t have thought many people would have scored many points in the

West Ham v Chelsea game, surely no one is silly enough to have Carlton Cole in their iTeams. After being on the bench against Fulham, Mata shows why he should be starting each week. What a second half with goals from Cole, Diame & Maiga.

Arsenal are, this year, my most frustrating team – I’ve had most of them in my team one time or another. When I don’t have them they bang them in for fun, when I captain their strikers Michu scores a late double & Arsenal fire blanks.

Defoe continues to light up for Spurs banging in another double as Tottenham beat Fulham 3-0.

The Liverpool v Southampton result went as expected. Anyone with Agger in their team was an excellent sign, shame I stuck Suarez in 3 of mine.

City’s ever squad rotation is a killer for us FiT managers, no Balotelli after scoring last week sits on the bench. No Zabaleta or Nastasic in defence. Fellaini scores again for Everton & shows why he should be in every iTeam.

QPR v Villa, yawn… I don’t think many was hoping too much from here.

Stoke keep another clean sheet, their 7th this season & with Begovic at only £5.1 million would be a good signing to free up some cash for the outfield players.

Wow what a game, United as always (except against the Hammers) give the opposition a 1 goal head start ! I thought here we go & went for a shower, my phone battery nearly died with the goal notifications coming through, 7 first half goals with Rafael in defence thank the FiT Gods they took him off after 31 minutes!! RVP’s value continues to rise now hitting £13 million, I’d love to know what he will cost come end of season!?

Norwich play well again to grab another 3 points proving the relegation battle is going to be exciting this year. A lot of people signing Fletcher as he’s playing twice next week. Bassong scoring his second in 3 weeks could be worth swapping a waste of space United defender for.

As a Rich List chaser all I needed was Ba to assist & he didn’t disappoint with 2 first half goals & a third from Birgirmana. With Fulham next week I’m sure we will see more of Ba

Now looking forward to next week, first off Sunderland & Reading play twice, if you have any of these players they will score points from both games as long as they are in your starting XI for both games, although Fletcher took a knock last week so double check on him.

Chelsea & Southampton don’t play the week after because of the World Club Championship, they both play early this week so I’d advise to lose their players after they have played this week if you can.

Bale could be out for 1 or 2 weeks, it may be worth waiting for line ups against Everton & although Michu is on fire, he’s only 1 yellow away from a ban.

Players who are on form are Fellaini against Spurs, Michu against Norwich & we have a Manchester Derby that could go either way !

There’s no massive clubs playing monkeys this week except West Ham v Liverpool, another 3 points in the bag for the Hammers.

Look around at a few of the teams you may not have tried before like Lambert of Soton or Benteke of Villa but I still wouldn’t advise signing Carlton Cole !
