Lots of Football, Lots of FiT By Mr Bennables

December 19, 2013 10:47 am

When my nine year old nephew asked me if I wanted a game of football, I took the dubious risk of dusting off my 20 year old Adidas Beckenbauer’s, after doing a couple of strained stretches and one squat, the little bugger shouted at me from his bedroom that he had loaded FIFA on the playstation!…….hmm…. Times have certainly changed….FIT managers of a certain age will remember when, football was played anywhere, anytime with anything, game consoles didn’t register, Ten rules we then used. 1. The fattest one is always the goalkeeper. 2. The kid who owns the ball decides...

FiT Bargain Hunter By Tom Kurvits

December 12, 2013 11:01 am

After some interesting results in GameWeek 15, I thought I’d take a look at some potential bargains for you to make up your FiT 11 with. A lot of us are struggling for funds after bringing in the big guns. Everton I think everyone is slightly surprised at how well Everton are doing at the moment. I expected Arsenal to beat them on Sunday afternoon, but the toffees seem to look a better proposition every week. It’s an obvious one here but Ross Barkley is pretty good, eh? Roberto Martinez is promising to give him more games too, so I...

Champions League: GR6

December 9, 2013 2:17 pm

Who needs to win? This is going to be a tricky round for most of us. Rest and rotation will play havoc with our iTeam’s. We’re all in the same boat, so don’t despair. There are still some big teams that require a win to ensure qualification… In Group A, Leverkusen need only better Shakhtar Donetsk’s result against Manchester United to book their place in the knockout stage. Manchester United have qualified but still require 1 more point to ensure they top the group. Moyes will want a morale boosting performance, so I expect to see a strong Man Utd...

Ben Worrall’s December Picks

November 29, 2013 11:38 am

Hello All, A few tips: – Always plan transfers at least 2-3 weeks ahead. They are posted about an hour before kick-off, so always look at the line-ups before making transfers. This way you will have players that will definitely play and score you points. EPL Credit Competition Winners: Gameweek 11

November 11, 2013 4:43 pm

A much tougher GW. You only needed 78 points to place in this weeks Credit Comp Pro. Fleece us all Preece was the main man again. His iTeam ‘LFC MINTY’, had a very good week. Rob ‘Runner Up’ Wright secured a credit haul of just over 6,000 F/c. Our other winners were Daniel McCarthy, Pete Bland, James Sweeney and Sean Pomfret. Well done to all of you. The GW12 Credit Comps are now up and...

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 11

November 11, 2013 4:16 pm

What a tough week… Sunday wasn’t the best day for most of us. Our Betfred Manager of the Week, A V B, scored the majority of his points on Saturday. His iTeam, FC * 20, managed to break the 100 point barrier. 101 was enough to secure the win. Remarkably his team only scored 4 goals and created just 4 assists. What is even more remarkable, is the fact that A V B only joined FiT this week. Not a bad first GW. Very well done. 7 teams kept clean sheets in GW11. At least 3 of those were a...
