Manager of the Week – Gameweek 8 Winners

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 8

October 24, 2013 2:05 pm

That was a fun week… Only 3 points separated the top 5. It was Kevin Chew who secured the GW8 Betfred Manager of the Week. 120 points was enough for Kevin’s iTeam ‘Sword Fighters F.C’ to win. Congratulations. It was a tough week for defenders and clean sheets were hard to come by. Even the mighty Southampton conceded. Kevin picked up defensive points from Dawson, Walker and Chico. 24 points between them wasn’t a bad haul. There were some very strong midfield performances in GW8. Kevin didn’t need Ozil, Cabaye, Ruiz or Silva. He went with Hazard, Mirallas, Gerrard, Ramsey...

October 24, 2013 2:03 pm

It was a very high scoring gameweek. You needed at least 94 points to place in the Credit Comps. Our first ever Free Entry Comp had 5,000 iTeam’s competing for the 5 top prizes. Steve Samurai and his iTeam ‘Seymour Flange’ came out on top… Steve also decided to pay into the GW8 F/c Comp Challenge. A 50 F/c entry fee was turned into 9160 F/c. Combined winnings of just over 11,500 credits. Very well played. Robert Preece, Keiran Murphy, Malc Turner, Alan Davey, Stephen Bennett and Eoghan Collins, all placed in either the Free  Entry or the Comp Challenge. Well done to...

CL Manager of the Round: Gameround 3

October 24, 2013 1:52 pm

What a busy couple of evenings… It was a very high scoring round. Our winner for GR3 is Robert Preece. Nice one Robert. His newly created iTeam ‘Nailed It!’, scored a massive 139 points. 7 goals, 5 assists and a load of clean sheets, helped him win a £150 voucher for official sports memorabilia. Robert created this team especially for this gameround. His new team cost just 220 F/c to create. He also won both Credit Comps. It all turned out perfectly, well done. Robert was confident that Atletico, Bayern and PSG, would be the teams not to concede. 7 clean...

CL Credit Competition Winners: Gameround 3

October 24, 2013 1:49 pm

The Champions League GR3 credit comps are over and Robert ‘everything I touch turns to gold’ Preece has won them both. Not content with winning the overall prize for GR3, Robert had to have all our credits as well. Winning both has given Robert a tidy 7,000 credits to re-invest. James Gallardo, Alan ‘never comes first’ Davey, Kent Lim, Michael Mchale and David Howell, all profited from this weeks competitions. Well done to all the winners. We don’t have to wait too long for GR4. You can enter the GR4 Credit Competitions for as little as 50 F/c. They are already...

EPL Returns for Gameweek 8

October 18, 2013 9:15 am

The geniuses in football are few and far between, quotes from the great, past and present make for some great reading… Here a few of my favorites. In 1969 I gave up booze and birds, it was the worst 20 minutes of my life. George Best. Eric Cantona. His response on being asked by a reporter the best moment of his career was….. “My best moment? I have had a lot of good moments, but the one I prefer is when I kicked the hooligan. It felt good.” “If you’re not sure what to do with the ball just pop...

Gameweek 8 Free Credit Competition

October 9, 2013 10:37 am

So what are you’re plans for the weekend? No premier league football, no transfers to mull over, what is there to do? At least we get to watch England play on Friday night. They’re usually such a joy to watch… With all this in mind we thought we’d try and cheer you all up a bit. Our Credit Competitions were introduced as a new feature for the 13/14 season. They have only been up and running for 7 gameweeks but have proved to be a very popular addition. A lot of FiT managers have already won thousands of credits. For...

Gameweek 7 Preview By Gregg Livingstone

October 3, 2013 2:22 pm

Well guys, 6 gameweeks down and the EPL is starting to take shape. Riding high in the FiT world championship is Michael Galbraiths team Tizer Chiefs with a very impressive 431 points. That works out at a very healthy average of 71.8 points a week! With only 45 points separating the top 100 and a long way to go, a canny captain pick could fire you up the league in no time! It’s been a very slow start for me and my teams personally, with my highest scoring team on 324 points I’m a long way off where I’d like...
