GW1 Blog by Boydie

August 23, 2013 7:53 am

Hi Guys!  Well the footballs back, but more importantly FiT is back! It’s seemed like a long summer with no World Cup or Euros to watch, but don’t forget the World Cup is back next year, along with the integrated FiT World Cup and Champions League! But for now, it’s the Premier League which is promising to be one of the closest fought title-races in history.  Last year saw James Dash prove that this football management lark is not about luck when he retained his crown so it goes to show, you need to put the effort in! Tips: 1....

FiT Guide – Transfers

August 21, 2013 5:01 pm

A massively important part of FiT to get your head around is transfers and iTeam selection, as FiT is different from any other Fantasy Football game out there.  If you use your transfers wisely you will have 14 points scoring players playing each GW. 1. You get 2 transfers each week, with the option to buy a 3rd using 100 FiT Credits. USE THEM!! 2. IMPORTANT – you can make changes to your iTeam in between fixtures.  As long as the player is in your iTeam lineup 10 mins before a game kicks off you will get his points.  For...

At last, FiT 13/14 kicks-off!

August 16, 2013 10:36 am

Thank God the break is over! It’s been a hard slog waiting for the season to start. It makes you realize just how good this app is. Anyway, we are here now and are all trying to find the best balance for our teams. How do you pick a good team? Below are 5 tips that may sound obvious, but I try and follow them when picking a team: Always have a good keeper. Pick defenders who always play for their club and have relatively easy games coming up in the next few weeks. Never put defensive midfielders in your...

The Final Countdown

May 17, 2013 7:45 am

So the time has finally arrived…….. Our last day of the English…… Sorry the Barclays Premier league has arrived. As sad as that fact is in three short months it will be back and so will FiT!!! Imagine given a summer of contemplation the minor adjustments or big advancements that the big cheeses at FiT Towers will have for us next year! I have personally really enjoyed the new league formats this year. Finishing in the top 40 in the Allstars and being kicked out of the KFC in week 20 have been real highlights, as you can imagine. Roll...

Mr. Bennables’ Blog

May 2, 2013 12:33 pm

It’s been reported that FIT favourite Fernando Torres earns £200,000 per week, which after goal and assists bonuses is about £200,000 a week. On a lighter note, Suarez has started his ten match ban for biting Ivanovich… Football finally reaches its finest hour. He will attend the Professional Footballers Awards Dinner tonight…or as he calls it ‘all you can eat buffet’ As the season draws nearer to a close, thoughts of a summer without the FIT buzz begin to fill me with fear, even more than having to make ‘conversation’ with the Mrs on a Saturday. Still it’s been another...

Rob Wright – Looking ahead to Gameweek 35

April 25, 2013 8:58 am

Gameweek 34 Overview Fulham v Arsenal 0-1 – Well this one had a lot of action but with very little of it coming in the goalmouth. Sidwell was sent off early in the game and is unlikely to feature again this season, but even with the 1 man advantage for most of the game Arsenal were arguably lucky to come away with the win, as Fulham pressed very hard and were unlucky not grab a share of the points. With the sending of Giroud towards the end of the game Arsenal may find need to rely on Walcott in the centre, can...

Richard Easterbrook’s Blog Post

April 4, 2013 8:58 am

So, you support a team whole heartedly from being this high, till the day you die. Nothing will ever change your allegiance. Then comes along fantasy football………. You select your most hated player from your most hated team. (Generally they go hand in hand). Then you secretly pray he scores a hat-trick, but maybe gets beat 4-3. It completely turns your head. And this game is based on luck, right? You’d imagine. How much thought and time do you really need to put into it? How much time will it require? It’s a flip of a coin if you put...

The return of EPL!

March 28, 2013 11:29 am

Hey you guys … remember me?? First off I’d like to apologise for not being around as much as normal, I promise to try harder especially to my 5 A Side team mates who are considering benching me right now lol !! I had a shocking FiT week last Game Week which by now probably doesn’t come as a shock anymore, I think the only goal scorer I had was Fat Frank against the mighty hammers!! So let’s look back at where I went wrong last week… Everton started the weekend with a 2-0 win over Manchester City which surely knocks them...
