The FiT Godfather reviews the season so far

November 30, 2012 8:46 am

We’re already approaching GW 15. The season is flying by. I don’t have the time or inclination to review the last game week or preview the next. Instead I’ll give you the opportunity to make the most out of some important stats, which may or may not help you with future transfer decisions. Remember to create a new iTeam for December. I will be. It’s going to be a busy month. You can now take control of anything up to 20 iTeams. I am seeing more and more newly created iTeams taking home weekly and monthly prizes. I’ll have my...

Transfers – Tuesday & Wednesday Night Games

November 27, 2012 10:07 am

A lot of people are wondering what to do tonight or on Wednesday night if you want to make changes in between kick-offs to make sure you have point scoring players in both fixtures at 7.45 and 8pm. The simple answer is yes you can, but it will require you to time your transfers correctly. For example, if you want to transfer Jermaine Defoe for Robin van Persie you need to make sure Jermaine Defoe is in your iTeam at 7.35pm (10 minutes before the 7.45pm kick-off), then transfer him out and put Robin van Persie in before 7.50pm (10...

Rob’s review of GW13 and ‘Wright’ advice for GW14

November 22, 2012 2:08 pm

Wow what a week we just had, some unpredictable results and also some high scoring matches, but it seems it was a good scoring week for most managers, unless you had Spurs and Villa defenders. The week started with the North London Derby which saw a leaky Spurs defence take on an Arsenal forward line looking for goals, and after Adebayor had done his best impression of a Power Ranger this is what we saw, with Arsenal scoring 5 past a defence that really needs tightening up. After that came the 3 o’clock games which saw the Man City front 4...

The Dashman reviews GW11 and gives food for thought on GW12

November 15, 2012 4:01 pm

Firstly lets have a look back at game week 11. It is getting really hard to predict which teams will keep clean sheets, with only Stoke, Reading, Norwich and West Ham not conceding from any of the ten games. Not many managers will have Reading or Norwich defenders (or goalkeepers) in their sides, but Stoke and West Ham have now kept five clean sheets from their 11 games, which is the highest in the league. These defenders are fairly cheap and perhaps the way to go; as this means we will all have more money for mid-fielders and forwards. I...

Gaz Fitz GW10 Review and Top Tips for GW11

November 9, 2012 1:18 pm

Gameweek 10 saw another challenging week for point scoring, 93 points won overall Manager of the Week which was a great score considering. Rosettes in big mini leagues were won for points in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. It pretty much started as Super Don rightly predicted last week, an RVP goal and a Rooney assist if he didn’t score in a Man Utd home win. Arsenal never looked likely to get anything out of this game and Utd probably should have got a couple more as 2-1 flattered Arsenal. Super Don then went on to say in last week’s...

Super Don’s humble look at GW9 and predictions for GW10 action

November 2, 2012 8:38 am

Gameweek 9 – Never has a week that promised so much delivered so little! Not just for me but for the majority of other Fantasy iTeam managers too. 82 points secured the Manager of the Week trophy, and a mere 67 points was enough to secure a weekly win and the yellow rosette in the 1,000 strong UK mini league, both good indications that GW9 was a tough week! Super Don’s route to spectacular failure in GW9 In GW8, I laid the foundations for an attack on the GW9 Manager of the Week trophy, bringing in Bent for Villas game...

Richard Benn looks at GW8 and GW9

October 25, 2012 3:21 pm

Well the FiT rollercoaster carries us through to Gameweek 9… 2pm on a Saturday saw panic kick in when the Mrs suggested a spur of the moment shopping trip. The Wi-Fi going down and work commitments see loo breaks becoming more frequently unscheduled and worrying looks from loved ones suggest that they are not sure whether you are suffering from IBS or a weak bladder – only at the weekends. The Premier League is brought to life by the adrenaline filled transfers and tinkering that central to the FiT experience. I know I’m not alone in feeling that you are...

Gameweek 5 blog by ‘FiT Admin’

September 21, 2012 8:54 am

We have given our FiT Coaches a week off from sharing all their tips and tricks, so in their place is a blog written by the elusive FiT Admin, with the focus this week being to give you all a bit of insight into who’s been doing what in the game since the start of the season. After an electric start to the season, especially for points scoring, last weekend was a bit of a let down for a lot of people. After RVP’s hat-trick against Southampton and Manchester United also playing the last fixture in GW3, 28% of iTeams...
