Wow! What an end to the season we have on our hands!!.. Have Chelsea already wrapped up the title, or will the in form gunners extend their 8 game winning streak until the end of season? What about the Red Devils? Can Van Gaal perform a miracle and keep up his record of winning a title/cup in his first season in charge of every club he’s managed? Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd still have to play each other, it promises to be a exciting end to an already action packed season.. And I haven’t even talked about the relegation dog fight….
Enough of the waffling on Darren, on to Gameweek 33!!!! With only seven fixtures to choose from this weekend, and with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool sitting it out, I’m going to some alternative transfer picks with you.
First up, two players from the in-form Eagles. Alan Pardew’s men are on a great run, with four successive victories, and with two back to back home fixtures up next – West Brom and Hull. There fine form may well continue:
His hat-trick against Sunderland has made it hard for me to ignore this chap. 40 points from his last 5 games, and with a FiT value of just 4.2m, food for thought at the very least.
Now if you guys and girls are looking for an outsider to put your faith in, and a differential captain pick, I give you……………..Glenn Murray. Four assists and six goals in just six games, and in his last 3 outings he’s scored double figures. This guy is in red hot form, and with a FiT value of just 3.8m, he should be at the top of your transfer shortlist.
Is Lennon tailor-made for the toffees?? Everton host the goal shy Burnley this weekend, have Roberto Martinez men turned a corner? It’s now 3 wins and draw in there last four, and Aaron Lennon has played a big part, scoring twice and grabbing an assist. The pacey winger is another option to ponder, and a bargain at just 3.8m.
WHAT!!!!! I hear you scream, has he totally lost his mind, is this guy really a FiT coach??? But first hear me out… a 3-2 victory at West Brom last weekend means the foxes have now scored 8 goals in their last three games, in which Mr Vardy has bagged himself two, plus two assists. And, with a Double Gameweek coming up next for Leicester, it starts to make sense. If Leicester are to avoid the drop, then Jamie Vardy will surely play a big part in it. Like the above, he’s another bargain, with a FiT value of just 3.5m.
Now, if you went back ten games and asked me if I would ever put Ashley Young in my iTeam I would have laughed and said never!!! But come this weekend he will be…. Manchester United are a team in real form at the moment, and are really starting to play their best football since the Sir Alex Ferguson days. Ashley Young was the fourth Utd midfielder in as many games to register a double figure FiT score, can you name the other three?????? They was Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata… It’s hard to predict the Manchester Utd starting line-up these days, but having started the last six games, and with a FiT value of just 4.2m, he’s the cheapest route into Van Gaal’s goal scoring midfield….
So, there you have it, my alternatives to the big-hitters and gambles on FIT for this weekend. All of you chasing down the leading pack in your Mini League, take note, it’s time to gamble…
And remember this in the world of Fantasy iTeam:
Form is key……class doesn’t matter!!!!!
