EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 10

November 4, 2013 2:46 pm

Another gameweek comes and goes. It was another high scoring one and was won by David Young. 115 points was enough for David’s iTeam ‘SUPER VILLA’ to secure the GW10 Betfred Manager of the Week. Congratulations.

10 different teams managed to keep clean sheets over the weekend. David relied upon Hugo ‘I’m not going off’ Lloris, Demel, Baines, Walker and Zabaleta. None of them let him down.

David’s midfield wasn’t actually that strong. Cazorla and Januzaj were the only players to score him some attacking points.

With this forward line who needs a midfield… David used his extra transfer wisely and opted for a 6 man strike force. Giroud and Suarez, surprisingly only managed 2 points apiece. Remy, Rooney and Van Persie managed 27 between them however. Then there was captain fantastic. Sergio Aguero scored a massive 32 points. 3 assists and a goal, nice. He has now moved ahead of Sturridge in the overall points rankings. Inspired transfers David.

Well done. We will be in touch soon to see what Club Shirt you want.

The GW10 Under 18 and Rest of the World winner was Liam Whitlock. His iTeam ‘Special September Super-Duper Stars’ scored a massive 118 points. Nice one.

Myhill, Vlaar and McAuley all contributed to his decent defensive performance. Silva was his stand out midfielder, scoring a goal and providing an assist. Like David, Liam went with Rooney, RvP, Remy and Aguero as captain.

Very well played. Enjoy your new Club Shirt, you deserved it.

Aguero (50.1%) and Suarez (17.1%), were the runaway leaders in our GW10 captain poll. The majority of you got it spot on. Same again next week?

Good luck to all of you in GW11 and remember it’s Champions League GR4 tomorrow…
