FiT Picks – Gameweek 29

Saturday 14th March 12:45

Charlie Austin (6.7m) 2 goals in his last 3 games

Queens Park Rangers take on Crystal Palace in the early kick off, and there’s only one player I’d want in my iTeam for this one. Since Alan Pardew took over, Palace have definitely improved, but it’s 5 months since they last kept a clean sheet at home. Even though I fancy them to win this, I also fancy Austin to add to the 15 goals he’s already scored this season.

Saturday 14th March 15:00

Oliver Giroud (8.2m) 3 goals in his last 3 games

Given most of the night off in the FA Cup victory over Manchester United, Giroud will be raring to go. He bounced back well after that woeful performance against Monaco, scoring first in the win vs QPR. West Ham have conceded 6 in their last 3, and with the race for top 4 hotting up, I expect Arsenal to show no mercy in this one.

Saturday 14th March 17:30

David Silva (9.6m) 32 points in his last 4 games

The losses to Barcelona and Liverpool hurt, and it’s going to take a monumental effort for Manchester City to remain in both the Champions League and the title hunt. Aguero has found form again, but it’s Silva’s recent performances that have caught my eye. Considering that Burnley have conceded 9 goals in their last 5, you should do your best to get both of these players into your iTeam.

Sunday 15th March 13:30

Eden Hazard (10.9m) 2 goals and an assist in his last 4 games

Head and shoulders above the rest of his team on Wednesday, Eden did all he could to try and get Chelsea through to the next round of the Champions League. Talented, confident and a hard worker, it’s no surprise that with 135 points, he’s the highest scoring midfielder in the Premier League. With Cesc a booking away from a 2 match ban, and with Oscar, Cuadrado and Willian rotating, it’s all about Hazard.

Sunday 15th March 16:00

Harry Kane (7.8m) 40 points in his last 5 games

Di Maria suspended, Falcao failing (even at under 21 level), and with Rooney faltering since his 2 goals against Sunderland, I’d stay away from Manchester United for now. After being named the Player of the Month for February, Harry has his sights set on becoming the first player to win the award three months in a row. And with 2 goals already in March, I reckon he can do it.

Monday 16th March 20:00

Daniel Sturridge (10.8m) 15 points in his last 2 starts

He’s back!!! Rodgers has been very careful with him since his return from injury, and it seems like the perfect time to bring him back into our iTeam’s. Swansea are a tricky team to predict at the moment, but I think in-form Liverpool will be far too strong for them. If you don’t want another forward, you could always opt for Raheem – take note though, his chances per game drop massively when he’s pushed out to the wing.

Good luck in Gameweek 29, and If you need any further transfer advice, our Twitter and Facebook team will be happy to help.
