Matthew Williams GW 13 Preview

November 27, 2014 10:05 am Stoke Celebrate

A third of the way into this season and it looks like Chelsea have got the league wrapped up already thanks to the inconsistency of the likes of Man City and Arsenal, two teams who you would of expected to at least challenge. Liverpool have fallen apart, Spurs are nowhere to be seen and Man Utd can’t defend for toffee, although there are signs of improvement there, you feel it would be too late for them to mount a challenge. Things are looking quite different at the bottom end of the table with just 5 points between West Brom in...

Gregg’s Gameweek 12 Preview

November 20, 2014 10:23 am

Gameweek 12 is almost upon us and with nearly a third of the season gone it’s been an interesting season thus far. Chelsea remain top with surprise package Southampton just behind them. Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool and Spurs have all been underachieving and the 3 newly promoted teams occupy the relegation zone. Needless to say, I’m doing terribly again. My highest scoring team has a mediocre 570 points. My reason for doing so badly is my ability to pick a captain who can’t do anything. It really is a gift. Since Luis Suarez left for pastures new, I’m at...

The EPL is back- Liam Whitlock

So with the international break at an end we very much welcome The Barclays Premier League back. Enough of discussing about Rooney and Sterling and more focusing what happens on the pitch in the ten Premier League games this gameweek has to offer. SATURDAY Manchester City vs Tottenham We start with Manchester City vs Tottenham. Almost 11 months ago Spurs lost 6-0 at The Etihad to pile pressure on then boss Andre Villas Boas. This is a game again I’d expect Man City to win. With Sergio Aguero’s (10.6M) 5 goals in 5 Premier League starts for City, he looks...

Ben Foode gets stuck into Gameweek 6

Welcome one and all to your weekly dose of assessments, summaries and predictions. It’s fair to say the season has thrown up a few surprises to far, so trying to put together a reasoned forecast for this weekend is going to be difficult. Aside from Chelsea, and possibly Arsenal – it’s probably fair to say no one has really got going yet so judging form and predicting results has a feel of pin the tail on the donkey about it. I could sit here and tell you to get your iTeams loaded with Chelsea defenders, or Leicester attackers, but truth...

Ben Worrall’s December Picks

November 29, 2013 11:38 am

Hello All, A few tips: – Always plan transfers at least 2-3 weeks ahead. The more weeks you can plan ahead, the better. – Always look at the run of fixtures each team has coming up in the Gameweeks ahead. – Follow @fantasyiteam on twitter for team line-ups. They are posted about an hour before kick-off, so always look at the line-ups before making transfers. This way you will have players that will definitely play and score you points. When making transfers always make sure you prioritise bringing in forwards ahead of midfielders/defenders. Out of the top 10 points scorers...

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 10

November 4, 2013 2:46 pm

Another gameweek comes and goes. It was another high scoring one and was won by David Young. 115 points was enough for David’s iTeam ‘SUPER VILLA’ to secure the GW10 Betfred Manager of the Week. Congratulations. 10 different teams managed to keep clean sheets over the weekend. David relied upon Hugo ‘I’m not going off’ Lloris, Demel, Baines, Walker and Zabaleta. None of them let him down. David’s midfield wasn’t actually that strong. Cazorla and Januzaj were the only players to score him some attacking points. With this forward line who needs a midfield… David used his extra transfer wisely...

Gameweek 9 Preview By Richard Easterbrook

I love the description on the FantasyIteam blog “written by our Fantasy Football experts”. It brings a smile to my face, then a quick switch to the app and reality hits home as I look at my ever faltering teams. But all is not lost! It’s only game week nine! Ok, so I’d started game week one with a team in the top 30, 2 in the top 50, granted at this point my best team is only in 578th place but I have a plan! A plan I will share and maybe make you all think a little outside...
