A Look at Gameweek 28 By Rob Wright

February 28, 2014 11:35 am

Well that was the week that was…. The top 4 have taken a big step towards confirming who will be in the Champions League next season; Spurs, Everton and Man Utd will still have hopes of catching them but it seems unlikely now. So the question is which one will end up top of the pile. I said Chelsea at the beginning of the season and the moment there’s nothing to change my mind. Over the next couple of weeks they have the chance to pull away with Man City and Arsenal missing games due to cup commitments, them and...

The Championship Leader Blog By Super Don

February 20, 2014 2:10 pm

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a good GR7 with your European iTeams and making the most of those SIX transfers! GR7 concludes next week so it’s time to put that on the backburner for a few days, check out what’s going on in the Premier League and make some plans for GW27. Firstly, let’s have a little reminder of happened in GW26, that was one of those tricky midweek GW’s, and this one turned out to be trickier than it first seemed… GW26 So, we had 4 fixtures Tuesday evening: Cardiff vs Aston Villa, Hull vs Southampton, West...

Easterbrook Shares his FiT Knowledge

January 24, 2014 10:12 am

Hi Everyone Welcome to this week’s blog, since my last blog thing have gone from bad to worse for me, my best team languishing in 1600 place. It’s that time of the season, 16 game weeks to go where we give up on our title dreams, just like United.  I’ve made some shocking decisions this season, none better than putting in Vidic just before he scored his -6 against Chelsea. I had predicted 0-0 for that match and then an easy game against Cardiff in the first round of games this week. I should have listened to Mr Dash and...

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 11

November 11, 2013 4:16 pm

What a tough week… Sunday wasn’t the best day for most of us. Our Betfred Manager of the Week, A V B, scored the majority of his points on Saturday. His iTeam, FC * 20, managed to break the 100 point barrier. 101 was enough to secure the win. Remarkably his team only scored 4 goals and created just 4 assists. What is even more remarkable, is the fact that A V B only joined FiT this week. Not a bad first GW. Very well done. 7 teams kept clean sheets in GW11. At least 3 of those were a...

Gameweek 11 Preview By Alan Davey

November 7, 2013 5:15 pm

GW 11- 15 Advice… The weeks are flying by… After the international break we have football galore. There have been plenty of high scoring weeks so far this season. An average gameweek score of 66 points is the current requirement if you want to be in the top 100. The overall leader, Dean McClean, has averaged 73 points, that is simply outstanding. It’s still early days though, everything can and will change. The difference between 100th and 1st is just 7 points per GW… It doesn’t sound like much does it? It’s not always about massive weekly scores. Don’t panic,...

EPL Manager of The Month: October

October 31, 2013 12:40 pm

266 points was enough for Lee Valdo to win the Betfred Manager of The Month prize. Lee’s iTeam ‘Average White Army’ has had a great season so far and this is Lee’s 2nd prize win. One of Lee’s other iTeam’s, ‘Sharnley FC’, currently sits at the top of the 13/14 Betfred World Championship. James Dash will be very worried… Very well played. Lee had 18 different players in October. His defence rarely changed though. Boruc, Lovren, Reid and Vertonghen, all had a solid month. Reid was the stand out performer, with 2 clean sheets and a goal in the 3...

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 9

October 28, 2013 3:16 pm

Another high scoring GW. You needed at least 99 points to make the top 100. It was Paul Reed who secured the GW9 Betfred Manager of the Week. 115 points was enough for Paul’s iTeam ‘Pang United’ to win. Congratulations. Normal service resumed for Southampton. Boruc managed his 6th shut out of the season. Paul also received clean sheet bonuses for Shaw, Vertonghen and Mertesacker. Midfielders struggled this week. Only 5 midfielders managed to score. 2 of them came off the bench and another got himself sent off. Ben Arfa and Ramsey contributed to Paul’s points total with an assist...

EPL Manager of The Week: Gameweek 8

October 24, 2013 2:05 pm

That was a fun week… Only 3 points separated the top 5. It was Kevin Chew who secured the GW8 Betfred Manager of the Week. 120 points was enough for Kevin’s iTeam ‘Sword Fighters F.C’ to win. Congratulations. It was a tough week for defenders and clean sheets were hard to come by. Even the mighty Southampton conceded. Kevin picked up defensive points from Dawson, Walker and Chico. 24 points between them wasn’t a bad haul. There were some very strong midfield performances in GW8. Kevin didn’t need Ozil, Cabaye, Ruiz or Silva. He went with Hazard, Mirallas, Gerrard, Ramsey...
